Privacy Policy
MoneyOtter works out your results on your own device. This policy covers the small amount of other data involved in running a free, ad-funded website, and the choices you have.
Summary
Your numbers stay in your browser. MoneyOtter works out your results on your device. We don’t send the amounts you type to our servers or store them. If you allow analytics, we record only broad ranges (for example “middle tax band”) to understand how the calculators are used. Like any website with ads, this page also loads advertising scripts; see our Privacy Policy.
- No accounts. We never ask for your name, employer, address, account numbers or tax IDs.
- Pages are funded by Google ads. Google and its partners may use cookies, including for personalized ads where you agree.
- Nothing is saved on your device unless you choose, apart from your color theme and preferred currency if you set them.
Who we are
This website, moneyotter.com (“MoneyOtter”, “we”, “us”), is operated by Infinity Square Labs Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 16880965), registered office 483 Green Lanes, London, N13 4BS, United Kingdom. The numbers you type
The calculators run as code in your browser tab. The amounts, rates and labels you enter are processed on your device and are not sent to our servers or stored by us. Because pages also carry advertising and analytics scripts, which run in the same page, we don’t claim the calculators are isolated from those scripts; we simply never put your figures into any request we make.
If you use “Share link”, the figures you entered are written into the link after the # symbol. Browsers don’t send that part of an address to websites, but anyone you give the link to can see the figures, so share it with care. Copy, CSV and print exports are created on your device.
Reference data files
Some calculators download fixed files from our own website, such as exchange rates, price indexes and tax-rate tables. These downloads are the same for every visitor and contain nothing about what you entered.
Hosting and security logs
The site is static and hosted on Cloudflare’s network. When your browser requests a page or file, Cloudflare necessarily processes technical information such as your IP address, browser type, the address requested and the time, to deliver the site and protect it from abuse. We don’t use this to identify you. Cloudflare handles it under its own privacy policy and retention periods.
Analytics
We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to understand use in aggregate: pages visited, referring sites, and broad device, browser and country information. It doesn’t use cookies or build a profile of you. If we measure how calculators are used, and you allow it, we record only event names and broad ranges (for example “middle tax band”), never the amounts or labels you type.
Advertising and cookies
MoneyOtter is free because pages show a small number of ads served by Google AdSense. Ads appear only in labelled spaces, never inside a calculator or next to your results, and never on legal pages.
- Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user’s prior visits to this website or other websites.
- Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to our visitors based on their visits to this site and/or other sites on the Internet.
- You can opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. If you do, or if you don’t give consent, you may still see non-personalized ads based on the page you’re viewing; these can still use cookies or similar technologies for frequency capping, aggregated reporting and fraud prevention.

Google may process technical data such as your IP address, device identifiers and cookie IDs to deliver and measure ads and detect invalid activity. We block categories of ads that don’t belong on a money site, such as gambling and get-rich-quick offers. Our cookie policy lists what may be set.
Your consent choices
If you visit from the United Kingdom, the European Economic Area or Switzerland, we ask for your consent before non-essential cookies or similar technologies are used for advertising, through a Google-certified consent management platform. You can accept, reject, or choose by purpose and vendor, and change your mind at any time using the privacy settings link provided with the consent message or by clearing this site’s cookies. Visitors in US states with privacy laws may be shown a notice about opting out of the sale or sharing of personal information for targeted advertising. The calculators work the same whatever you choose, and with an ad blocker.

If you email us
We receive your email address, your message and anything you include, and use them only to reply and deal with your request. We keep correspondence for as long as needed for that and any follow-up, normally no more than two years, unless the law requires longer. Please don’t send account details or documents: we never need them.
Legal bases (UK GDPR)
- Consent: advertising cookies and personalized ads where consent is required; any optional calculator analytics.
- Legitimate interests: running and securing the site (hosting logs, cookieless analytics), showing non-personalized ads that fund the free service, and replying to messages.
- Strictly necessary storage: remembering a theme or currency you choose.
Sharing and international transfers
We don’t sell personal data. The only organizations that process data in connection with the site are Cloudflare (hosting and analytics) and Google (advertising) and, where you consent, Google’s advertising partners. Some process data outside the UK, including in the United States, under safeguards such as UK adequacy regulations, the UK Extension to the EU–US Data Privacy Framework, or standard contractual clauses with the UK addendum, as set out in their terms. We may disclose information if the law requires it.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask for access to the personal data we hold about you, correction, erasure, restriction, portability, and object to processing based on legitimate interests; you can withdraw consent at any time. Email hello@moneyotter.com and we’ll respond within one month. Because we never receive the figures you type and have no accounts, we usually hold very little that can identify you.
Complaints
Please tell us first so we can put things right. You can also complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint or on 0303 123 1113. In the EEA you can contact your local data protection authority.
Children
MoneyOtter is intended for adults and isn’t directed at children. We don’t knowingly collect personal data from children.
Changes to this policy
We’ll update this policy if the way the site works changes, and record significant changes in the changelog. Effective date: October 7, 2026.
