Terms of Use
These terms apply when you use moneyotter.com. Please read them, especially the parts about advice and liability.
Using MoneyOtter
MoneyOtter is provided by Infinity Square Labs Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 16880965), registered office 483 Green Lanes, London, N13 4BS, United Kingdom (“we”, “us”). By using the site you agree to these terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use it. You need no account, and you can stop using the site at any time.
Not financial, tax or legal advice
MoneyOtter’s calculators produce estimates for general information. They aren’t financial, investment, tax, credit or legal advice, and using them doesn’t create an adviser–client relationship. We don’t recommend products, lenders or providers, and we don’t arrange credit or any other financial product. Guides explain how things work in general and may not fit your circumstances. Before making a financial decision, check official sources and consider speaking to a qualified, regulated adviser. The disclaimer forms part of these terms.
Your responsibilities
- Results depend entirely on the figures and options you enter. Check them, and the assumptions listed with each result, before relying on anything.
- Where a calculator asks you to supply rules, such as tax bands, you are responsible for their accuracy.
- Confirm figures that matter with the organization concerned: your lender, bank, card provider, employer or tax authority.
Accuracy and limits
We document every formula, test calculators against worked examples, and take reference data from official publishers with the date it was retrieved. Financial products and rules are complex and change, and data can be revised. We can’t guarantee that the site is free of errors, complete, or up to date for your circumstances. If you find an error, please tell us at errors@moneyotter.com.
Free service and ads
The calculators are free. Pages are funded by advertising. We don’t endorse products or services advertised on the site, and ads aren’t recommendations. We don’t accept affiliate or referral payments for regulated financial products.
Acceptable use
Don’t use the site in a way that breaks the law, interferes with its operation or other visitors, attempts to gain unauthorized access, or misrepresents yourself as us. Don’t present results from MoneyOtter as prepared, checked or endorsed by us, or as financial advice.
Content and licences
The site design, text and code belong to us or our licensors. You may use the results you generate for any purpose. Reference data is reused under its publishers’ licences, and our compiled data files are offered under CC BY 4.0, as set out on the data page. Exchange rates: Source: ECB statistics.
Liability
Nothing in these terms limits liability that can’t be limited by law, such as for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. Subject to that, and because the service is free and for general information:
- we provide the site “as is” and “as available”, without warranties that it will meet your needs or be uninterrupted or error-free;
- we aren’t liable for losses arising from decisions you make using results from the site;
- we aren’t liable for any indirect or consequential loss, or loss of profits, data or opportunity.
If you use the site as a consumer, you have legal rights that these terms don’t affect.
Changes and availability
We may change, suspend or withdraw any part of the site, and update these terms. Changes take effect when published here, with the effective date updated. Significant changes are noted in the changelog.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction, though if you live elsewhere in the UK or in the EU you may also be able to bring proceedings where you live. Questions about these terms: hello@moneyotter.com. Effective date: October 7, 2026.
